Imo police arrests four suspects for unlawful possession of fireworks

‎The Imo State Police command has arrested four suspects for the unlawful possession and distribution of banned fireworks and various kinds of pyrotechnics within the Owerri metropolis.

 

 

 

The suspects arrested include Victor Amadi, male, 29 years, Moses Okoro, male, 31 years, Ebuka Onye, male, 28 years, Isaac Amadi, male, 23yrs. ‎

 

 

 

 

 

‎Their arrests followed separate intelligence-led raids conducted at different locations within the Owerri metropolis, during which large quantities of prohibited fireworks and other pyrotechnic items were recovered.

 

 

Confirming their arrest to newsmen, the command’s spokesperson, SP Henry Okoye, said the command reiterated the total ban on the use, sale, distribution, and possession of fireworks, knockouts, bangers, and all other forms of explosive devices across Imo State. He stated that any individual found violating this directive will be arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the law.
