THE Igwe E. O. Anigwe memorial Foundation has yet again taken to the feeding of the less privileged in Enugu on the 16th of December 2020.
The event which was held at St. James Catholic Church, Agbogugu Awgu local government of Enugu state Experienced the attendance of the rank and files within the hemisphere.
The humanitarian Gesture was targeted at providing food items for the needy and destitutes in a bid to put a Smile on their faces especially during this Festive season.
The Foundation which was founded by Late Prince Chibuko Anigwe, however, His Widow, Mrs Irene Anigwe and his Children took over the mantle after his demise.
It was established with the Sole aim of reaching out to the destitutes and less privileged of the Society. Their major Focus being the Widows, Orphans and others facing any manner of impoverishment.

They have chosen to Invest in the Health, Educational and general welfare of these ones. Having realised that a large amount of Nigerians are within or around the poverty range of the income rate.
Cogent reports and investigations from our Correspondents have shown that the aforementioned foundation has been unmitigated in the provision of needed assistance, Financially and otherwise, as and at when due, in the life of several beneficiaries.

We also gathered that Chris, as he was fondly called, took to all legally possible measures to render help to his people, at some point, he even had to sell his house and other acquisitions, all in a bid to give back and invest in his Community, giving them a chance at a brighter and better existence.
UGAMATV had earlier reported that it was out of their magnanimity and in obeisance to their values and objectives, that they visited the Shikaghom primary school, where they observed that the students were in dire need of sitting provisions, which prompted them to donate Classroom chairs to the school, thereby availing comfortability whilst studying to the pupils.

The parish priest of St. James parish Agbogugu, Rev. Fr. Basil Ezika in his speech said, “I thank the foundation for remembering the poor and needy in our community today despite the situation of the country today, they still took it upon themselves to put smiles on the faces of those who never had hope of celebrating this year’s festivities.”
He then prayed for the continuous growth and blessing of the Foundation.

A certain Mr Martins, one of the beneficiaries, affirmed his gratitude to the the foundation, for bringing Rays of hope towards them especially in this hard times, he then asked the good Lord to continue to strengthen them to touch more lives.
A widow, Mrs Elizabeth, who also gained from the lot, was extremely overjoyed as she gave out emotional outpour of blessings on their benefactors.
Responding to one of our Correspondents, in a text message, Mrs Irene Anigwe, the Co-founder, said “Hello all,
May the peace, joy, and love of our Lord visit you and your family this holiday season.”
“Every Christmas, His Royal Highness Igwe E.O. memorial foundation hosts a simple gathering for the orphans, widows and less privileged.”
“We come together as one family and share Christmas at our small convent. Our celebration is not much. We just prepare a meal for those to feast and celebrate the holiday s as a community.”
“Whatever it is we may prepare, we are always thankful that the Lord has allowed us to reach those who have enough to give, and helped us in opening their hearts and allowing the true spirit of Christmas to enter their homes.”
“As Christians, the Bible is clear throughout its pages that we’re called to give generously. Even in the book of Exodus chapter 35, we see the Israelites all generously giving the materials and time to build the tabernacle.”
” If any of those people decided to withhold the materials they owned or the skills they had, the tabernacle wouldn’t have come together.”
“Together with my late husband Christian Anigwe and children, it has always been our been our wish to reach out to those in need. By the grace of God we will continue to.”
“However, we can’t do this alone . We welcome good hearted people to come and join us for this good cause. Let’s make a difference, let’s be our brothers Keepers.”
“If there is one thing of many that my late husband always said to me especially the children, is “the act of love and kindness and the Gift of Giving Back is making a real difference in the lives of those that are less privileged.”
“May the soul of my husband Christian Chibuko Anigwe continue to Rest In Peace and rejoice in lord as we celebrate yet another feast,he may not be here physically, but in spirit, I know he is with us.” She concluded.
