Nollywood actress and producer, Laide Bakare has announced that she would soon be getting married for the third time. In a recent interview with content creator, Akin Abolade, the movie star stated it would be the first time she would be getting married “officially” despite two previous failed marriages. “I will soon be getting married officially for the first time ever,” she said. The actress disclosed that preparations are already underway for her wedding. She, however, did not disclose the date of the wedding or the identity of her husband-to-be. Laide Bakare has been married twice. Her first marriage was to US-based businessman Olumide Okufulure, with whom she shares a daughter, Simi. After their separation, she remarried Alhaji Mutairu Atanda Orilowo in 2012, and the union produced two sons. However, she left her second marriage after Orilowo was reportedly declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in 2014 over alleged fraudulent activities. In a previous interview on the Real Life With Aunty Ayo podcast, Laide Bakare said she is open to being married up to five times if prior unions don’t work.
