If He Were Brazilian…” Obodo Reveals Why Osimhen’s Not Getting European Offers

Ex-Super Eagles midfielder, Christian Obodo, has claimed that big European teams are not keen on signing Victor Osimhen from Napoli.

Osimhen has emerged as one of the top strikers on the continent over three seasons, leading both Napoli and Galatasaray to league titles.

The 26-year-old is expected to leave Naples permanently this summer, but so far, no top teams are in the race to sign him.

Osimhen has already rejected several mouthwatering offers to play for Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia.

“I know Osimhen would still like to play European football and achieve a lot, but the clause Napoli put on him and his wages are scaring clubs away,” Obodo told Brila FM.

“The clubs do not want to make a decision that will come back and make them regret.

“If Osimhen were Brazilian, they (European top clubs) would have signed since.”
