ICE arrests Nigerian man convicted of fraud in US

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has arrested a 31-year-old Nigerian man, Barnabas Terhemba Jime, who was convicted of conspiracy to commit wire fraud.

 

 

 

ICE disclosed this in a post via X on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

 

 

 

 

According to the agency, Mr Gime was among ‘criminal illegal aliens’ arrested last week.

 

 

 

“Criminals came from all over the world to take advantage of America’s open borders to wreak havoc in our communities. Here are just a few of the criminal illegal aliens arrested by ICE last week,” the post reads.

 

 

 

“Jime, 31, convicted of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. He will remain in ICE custody pending removal from the United States.”
