Ibom Air Passenger Denies Filing ₦500bn Lawsuit Against FG, NCAA

Comfort Emmanson, the Ibom Air passenger whose unruly behaviour recently sparked controversy, has denied reports claiming she filed a ₦500 billion lawsuit against the Federal Government, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Ibom Air, and others.

Emmanson, in a statement shared via her Instagram story on Saturday, described the report as false and misleading.

“My attention has been drawn to a fake report claiming that I have filed a ₦500 billion lawsuit against the Federal Government, NCAA, and others. This information is false and misleading. I have not taken any such legal action yet,” she wrote.

She clarified that when she eventually files a lawsuit over her ordeal, she would personally announce it to the public through her verified page.

Emmanson also disassociated herself from Ayodele Ademiluyi, the lawyer reportedly behind the suit, stressing that her legal representative remains Adam Atakpa of Kippraise Attorneys.

“When I eventually do anything of such nature (which is imminent), I will personally update the public myself via my official page,” she stated.

The clarification comes weeks after Emmanson was briefly jailed before being released following the intervention of the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo.
