I won’t create problems for my successor through abandoned projects – Wike

The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has reiterated his commitment not to abandon any project started by his administration.

Wike stated this when the Group Managing Director of DAAR Communication Plc, Mr Tony Akiotu, led a delegation to present a letter of nomination to him as the DAAR Man of the Year 2021 at the Government House, Port Harcourt on Tuesday.

Wike in a statement by his media aide, Kelvin Ebiri, added that though he was in his second tenure, he would continue deliver quality projects.

He said, “We believe from the first week of December, we will start another round of inauguration of projects. You can be assured that no project will be left abandoned. We are not here to create problem for our successor.”

Wike added that the award was for the people of the state.

Akiotu said the editorial board and DAAR Communication panel of assessors for the 4th DAAR award unanimously conferred the award of ‘Man of the Year 2021’ on Wike for his giant strides in infrastructural development of Rivers State and deepening of Nigeria’s democracy.
