Eid-El-Kabir: Hon. Uche Okolo Greets Muslim Faithful, Urges Unity and Compassion in Awgu LGA

Awgu Local Government Area, 6th June 2025 – In a heartfelt message to the Muslim faithful, Hon. Uche Okolo, the Executive Chairman of Awgu Local Government Area, has conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to the community as they celebrate the auspicious occasion of Eid-El-Kabir, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice.

 

In his statement, Hon. Okolo emphasized the significance of Eid-El-Kabir, which commemorates the unwavering faith and obedience of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham). He noted that this festival serves as a poignant reminder of the core values of sacrifice, compassion, and unity that bind us together as a community.

 

“Eid-El-Kabir is not only a time for joyous celebration but also an opportunity for reflection and gratitude,” Hon. Okolo stated. “It encourages us to reach out to those in need, fostering a spirit of generosity and kindness within our communities. Let us embrace the teachings of this sacred occasion by extending our hands to help the less fortunate, thereby strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood that unite us all.”

 

The Executive Chairman reiterated his commitment to promoting peace, harmony, and mutual respect among all faiths within Awgu LGA. He believes that through collective efforts, a cohesive society can be built, allowing everyone to thrive, regardless of their background or beliefs.
