Hit-and-run driver arrested for allegedly k!lling lawyer and one other in Jos

The driver responsible for the tragic hit-and-run incident that claimed the life of a lawyer, Mr. Naantoe Haamnaan (Esq) has been identified and arrested.

 

 

The fatal incident occurred in the early hours of June 11, 2025, near Elim Top Hotel Junction, Jos, just a few meters from the victim’s residence.

 

 

It was learned that Mr. Haamnaan and another person were hit by a speeding car while they were riding a motorcycle.

 

 

Sadly, Mr. Haamnaan d!ed on the spot, while the second victim, who was rushed to the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), succumbed to his injuries two days later. The driver reportedly fled the scene immediately after the accident.

 

 

However, after a rigorous police investigation, the suspect was captured and is now being held in Anglo-Jos police custody.

 

 

The suspect will be charged to court for prosecution.
