Hisbah destroys seized alcohol in Yobe

The Yobe State Hisbah Commission has destroyed cartons of seized alcohol in Gashau community, Bade Local Government Area of the state.

 

 

The Hisbah spokesperson, Sibawaihi Ukasha Gashua, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, November 1, 2025.

 

 

According to the statement, the exercise followed a court order granted by the Lower Shari’ah Court, authorizing the destruction of the seized alcohol which was intercepted on Wednesday, 8th October 2025.

 

“The items were confiscated from a J5 vehicle that departed from Jos, Plateau State, and both the suspects and the exhibits were taken to court where judgment was delivered according to Shari’ah law,” the statement read.

 

“The Yobe State Hisbah Commission continues to intensify efforts toward eradicating immoral acts and promoting a disciplined and moral society. We pray that Almighty Allah guides and reforms our entire community.”
