GUNMEN KIDNAP JIGAWA PDP Ex- LAWMAKER

Some gunmen have kidnapped a former member of the Jigawa State House of Assembly representing Auyo constituency, Hon. Haladu Bako Uza, killing another person.

Ugamatv gathered that the former lawmaker was abducted along Kano-Hadejia road on Wednesday night.

He was kidnapped on his way to his hometown, Auyo, from Kano State.

The lawmaker represented Auyo constituency at the state assembly from 2007 to 2015 under the umbrella of People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

Police spokesman, ASP Lawan Shiisu Adam, confirmed the incident to newsmen

He said that the incident occurred when the gunmen, numbering about five, blocked Ringim to Gujungu town and robbed motorists. He explained that the hoodlums also shot one motorist in the process.

Adam said policemen had rushed to the scene after distress calls and recovered empty bullet shells. He added that a patrol team has been mobilised to rescue the victim as well as arrest the criminals.
