Gunmen abduct medical personnel, wife in Kogi

A medical personnel and his wife have been abducted by unknown gunmen who attacked Iluke, a major settlement in the Bunu district of Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area, Kogi Statein the early hours of today May 22.

 

 

 

According to reports, the gunmen stormed the town at about 1am and whisked away a community health worker popularly called ‘Dr. Ebi,’ (omo Kemuna) and his wife.

 

 

 

‎They allegedly carried the abductees on motorcycles. Once the victim who owned a clinic was in their custody, the hoodlums sporadically released bullets as they escaped from town. A development that has thrown the community into fresh fear.

 

 

 

 

‎The Kogi State police command is yet to comment on this development.
