Media personality, Dele Momodu, has berated first lady, Remi Tinubu, for publicly cautioning Osun state governor, Ademola Adeleke, for singing too long at a public function,
The occasion was at the 10th coronation anniversary of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi. The first lady was in attendance and was also honored with a chieftaincy title.
In a video that has now gone viral, Governor Adeleke had mounted the stage to give his speech and symbolic of him, he began singing praises to God. After he sang one Christian song in thanksgiving to God, the first lady stood up from her seat and walked up to him at the podium, asking him to stop further singing and go straight to his speech. A defiant Gov Adeleke continued singing. This prompted the first lady to again walk up to him, this time threatening to order for the microphone to be turned off.

In a post shared on social media, Momodu who is a close associate with Governor Adeleke, expressed his displeasure over her action, He wondered if she would have cautioned a Northern governor if he was the one reciting qur’anic verses. Read his post below

1. This latest tirade against an elected Governor was totally beneath her for several reasons:
She’s not an elected officer of government and has no role assigned to her in the Constitution of the Federal Republic. It is totally repugnant to openly disgrace, insult, and bully the Chief Executive of Osun State before a global audience, including his own wife. She went too far.
2. It is unbelievable that a self-professed Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God would frown at a Governor praising God. Her Church should be very embarrassed.
3. Would she have tried this with a Northern Governor reciting the Holy Koran before a speech?

5. Many commentators have said she was lucky that Governor Ademola Adeleke is a perfect gentleman.
But I can’t really blame MRS OLUREMI TINUBU. I blame the squeamish Nigerians who chose to be voluntary slaves in their own country. Shame on the cowardly people who’ve sold their inalienable rights for power…”
