France First to Secure 2026 World Cup Semi-Final Spot with 2-0 Win Over Morocco

France have become the first country to book their place in the semi-finals of the 2026 World Cup.

Les Bleus beat Morocco 2-0 on Thursday evening to qualify for the last four.

Kylian Mbappe missed the chance to give his team the lead in the first half, before opening the scoring in the second half.

Ousmane Dembele’s fifth goal at the tournament saw France doubled their lead, as Morocco’s fine run came to an end.

Didier Deschamps’ men will now play in their third successive semi-final game next week.

They play the winner of Friday’s Spain vs Belgium quarter-final clash.
