Former PDP gubernatorial candidate Isa Ashiru to join ADC

Former Kaduna State gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Isa Mohammed Ashiru, is set to officially join the African Democratic Congress, ADC.

 

The announcement was made on his official X handle on Saturday, where he wrote: “OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: I, Right Honourable Isa Mohammed Ashiru, will formally register with my new party, the African Democratic Congress (ADC), on Sunday, 5th April 2026 at 11:00 AM, Insha Allah.”

 

He revealed that the registration will take place at Kudan Ward, Kudan Local Government Area, and expressed optimism about the move, adding:

 

“I look forward to this significant step as we continue to work for the progress and development of our people.”

 

Ugamatv recalls that this development comes shortly after Ashiru officially resigned from the PDP.

 

He submitted his resignation letter to the PDP Chairman of Kudan Ward on Friday, March 27, 2026, formally ending his ties with t

he party.
