Ambassador-designate, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has extended warm congratulations to the newly appointed Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, praising him as an exceptional intellectual and dedicated law enforcement professional.
Disu, who previously served as Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex in Lagos, officially took over from Kayode Egbetokun on Tuesday.
In a congratulatory message, Fani-Kayode described the new police chief as a gifted writer, creative artist, and disciplined officer known for his fairness and sharp attention to duty.
“I congratulate Olatunji Rilwan Disu on his appointment as Inspector-General of the Nigeria Police Force. He is a brilliant writer and artist, a formidable intellectual, and a focused, effective, and fair-minded officer,” he said.
He further expressed pride in Disu’s elevation, offering prayers for wisdom and divine guidance as he assumes leadership of the nation’s police force.
