Nasir El-Rufai, former governor of Kaduna State and leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has responded to a summons issued by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
El-Rufai, who was called in for questioning over alleged corruption during his tenure as governor, arrived at the EFCC headquarters accompanied by hundreds of supporters.
The former governor had recently resisted arrest at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport last Thursday. Following the incident, he alleged in interviews that the attempted arrest was orchestrated by the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.
By honouring the EFCC summons, El-Rufai has now engaged with the commission in line with its request for investigation.
