Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh, the Chief Whip of the Enugu State house of Assembly and Member Representing Awgu North Constituency at the Hallowed Chamber of the State House of Assembly in a bid towards ensuring a seamless festive celebration in the constituency is set to launch a sensitization campaign against the sales and consumption of Methamphetamine drug popularly known as mkpuru mmiri amongst the youths.

Eneh who made this known on thursday the 16th of December during an interview urged all the Town Union Presidents, Traditional Rulers, Religious & Youth leaders, Women Group as well as political actors in the Constituency to join hands in the fight against this killer substance that is fast destroying the lives and future of our youths across the state.

To drive home the urgency of her plea, a hotline has been made available for constituents’ feedback in a case of any complaint/report about those who sell or take the substance within the various communities.

Addressing the matter, she said “judging from recent findings which have really shown that intake of Mkpuru-Mmiri promotes all manner of health challenges and social vices in the society, it is therefore very pertinent that we take precautionary measures in time before this spreads like a wild fire across the state. i also urge youths to distance themselves from this substance as it’s very deadly to one’s health”.
