Enugu state government has commenced plans to involve  youths in the agricultural sector with a view to making them self reliant

The Commissioner  for Agriculture  Matthew Idu disclosed this yesterday  in a chat with newsmen in Enugu.

According to the Commissioner, youth participation  in Agriculture is the in thing in Enugu , adding that they have lined up several messures  to ensure  youth participation in  agricultural production. 

He pointed out that the  youths are the only strong people that can go into agricultural production and get it right because of   their enormous energy  

Describing Agriculture  as the only easy way of making money; he stated  “that youths want to make money, and be  employed  hence the need to employ them to embrace Agriculture”

 Idu stressed that Agriculture  is the only way to make  easy and genuine money, stating that all that the youths needed is an enabling environment  which he  assured that government  will do the needful 

“The federal government has pumped in so much money into CBN for farmers to enjoy.All they need is the government  to give them the enabling  environment  to propel

“Youth participation in agriculture  is the in thing now,the  youths must go to farm , Enugu state government is fully on the move that the youths  must  participate  in Agriculture.

“Thats why the youths are the only strong people that can go into this agricultural production and get it right because  they have the strength 
“They want to make money, they want to be employed and it is the easy way  to make money genuinely ” he stated.
