Following the sensitization program of the SME training  programme which was scheduled  by the special  advicer to Enugu  state Governor on Small and Medium Enterprises Development and investment promotion, Hon. Chilo-Offiah, to hold across the seventeen LGAs of the state to increase awareness on the programs and initiatives of the center for the indigenes and residents of the state.

Delegates led  by the Special Adviser to the Governor on SME Development and Director General Enugu SME Center, Hon. Arinze Chilo-Offiah visited the Isi-Uzo LGA Secretariat last week  Tuesday in a bid to enlighten those at the grassroots level, about the various Projects such as Micro Credit Lending Loan, Human Capital Development Loan, Enugu Skill-Up Project, Enugu Tech Project, Enugu Wifi Project, Auto-Revamp Innovative Training Program, etc., which has been made available to them by the agency. 

Stating that the visit is  to imbibe in the people  the various activities, programs and how their people can actively participate, and benefit from the dividends that they came with.

The event, which took place at the Local Government Council’s Secretariat in Isi-Uzo had in attendance, the Local Government chairman, Hon Jacob. O Abonyi His Deputy, The Secretary to the local Government Council, amongst others.

The chairman, Hon Jacob Abonyi in his opening remarks, appreciated  Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for all he has been doing in the state, especially with Enugu SME.

He Stated that, the Governor has through the agency, put Enugu back into the map of entrepreneurship in West Africa, where our youths are now fully trained on businesses, craft and ICT. He also challenges them by this time next year their life’s will never remain the same if they make use of the program judiciously. 

He also encouraged Isi-Uzo youths to key into the programs that the state Government is offering through Enugu SME center led by Hon Arinze Chilo-Offiah and be the lead beneficiaries.

“Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is a creative Thinker that think for the future, this can be seen with the magic he has been doing with Enugu SME centre where thousands of Youths have benefited from the programs”

“Our Governor is very much aware that the youths are the future and to have a better future, you must have focus which can only manifest when someone is engaged; which is what he has been doing through the SME centre” 

“I am very happy that our youths for the first  time since the history of the state, are seen as crucial stakeholders in Government policies which is SME is one of them”

The chairman thanked the SPA  for the marvelous  thing he is doing and promised support him  to ensure that, Isi-Uzo Youths did not take the back seat in all your activities.

In a statement the special  adviser to the Governor  on Small and Medium Enterprises Development and Investment promotion, Hon Arinze Chilo-Offiah who outlined the reasons behind their visit stated that the visit is to interact with the youths, women and stakeholders of the Local Government Council, to inform and Educate them on their activities, which other  local Government are already benefiting from. 

“We are here to inundate you with what we are doing, which a lot of people from your Local Government have benefited from”

“We have been mandated by our Governor to take the programs down to the grassroot, as part of his rural Development agenda in the state”

“Our programs are vast ranging from 
Fashion and designing, AutoEase, ICT, Data Analysis, Digital marketing, Plumbing, Agriculture, Furniture, Electricians, Cyber security, Zero loan, Human capital development, amongst others. ” 

He posited  that the SME center under the leadership of Governor ifeanyi Ugwuanyi,  is determined to assist the youths only if they are interested and determined to succeed.

He restated “our program will run in all the seventeen LGA of the state, so as to increase the awareness on the programs and activities of the center for all the indigenes and residents of the state.”

“it would enable them have direct access to us, know us and be able to ask questions that will guide their lines of thought about the programs and activities of the center.”  Offiah said.

 Speaking about Enugu SME, some of the participants also expressed  their happiness over what they saw.

” I thank the Governor for all his efforts in repositioning  the youths of Enugu state,  He is very Progressive and preparing us for the future” Mis Nnamani Kamsy Anita. 

Another participant  by name  Mr  Nnaji Jeremiah also said ” I thanked the Governor for making Enugu SME programs accessible by all; knowing full well that human capital development is the ultimate”
