THE Deputy Minority leader, house of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Toby Okechukwu has yet again moved to encourage creativity in the art of music by sponsoring a seemingly yearly talent hunt show.

The Talent hunt show is aimed at encouraging the harnessing and investment into the art of music making as a means of empowering the youths who have an art inclination.

Okechukwu, realising the the pertinence of investing in raw talents, decided to also create awareness and sensitize the society that every youth, his honest career path notwithstanding, can still make a meaningful impact on the society.

Recently, Okechukwu, took to the attraction of the refurbishment and equipment of the metal work laboratory of the Government Technical College, Amoli, as a means of empowerment for the students, in a bid to invest in the building of technicality, technical know-how and the do-it-yourself spirit amongst the youths of his Constituency and by extension Nigeria.

He has on several occasions paid the fees of Senior Secondary school Certificate Examinations Candidates across the public schools in his Constituency.  Without being oblivious of the need to empower them for the examinations, he disseminated a complied past questions and answers for their adequate preparations for the examinations.

No fewer than two hundred youths from this constituency, have benefited gainfully from several quite sought after skills, which include, Welding technology and fabrication of Agro machines, ICT (programming), plastic moulding, Lens making, Glass Blowing, Recycling waste to Wealth, Electrical Installation, wiring and maintenance, welding,  mechatronics, electrical and computer training, 3D epoxy floor and wall furnishing at the Cooperative College, Oji River, A 21st century skill in house beautification, These ones have become employers of labour among their ranks.

We gathered that during the last year’s edition of this talent hunt, several raw talents were showcased, while others were encouraged to be better, the best of the bests were Chosen to start a record-breaking music career.

A call for music auditions has been put out for Enugu youths who are Musically inclined. Auditions are open for music writers, singers, instrumentalist of every genre of music especially the Afrobeats.

The Auditions is to be conducted by UGAMATV in collaboration with CENTURY records.

To qualify for the Auditions,

You must;

1.. Be an indigene of Awgu, Aninri and Oji river Federal constituency, however, other talented youths from other parts of the state can still apply for the talent hunt.

2.. You must follow and like all the Social Media Handles of UGAMATV.
