
The Deputy Minority Leader and Member representing Aninri, Awgu and Oji-River Federal Constituency and his wife, Mrs Uche Okechukwu on the 22nd of December got bestowed with a chieftaincy title.
The chieftaincy title which took place at the 70th birthday and first Ofala festival of Igwe Benedict Nnajiofor Eze, Ezeagbo (VI) Ezeoha of Ndeagbo ancient kingdom in Aninri local government saw the attendance of many dignitaries who were also given chieftaincy titles including the wife of former Deputy Senate President, Dr. Mrs Nwanneka Ekweremadu.

Hon. Okechukwu who was bestowed with the title of Inyierioba 1 of Ndeagbo and his wife, Lolo Odiuko na mba thanked the Igwe for deeming them worthy to be given the title.
Speaking on behalf of himself and his wife, Hon. Okechukwu said “I thank you for thinking me worthy for this title. You are one of our most eligible leaders that we can trust when you bestow chieftaincy title because we know the quality you exude and you do so based on merit. So we trust your integrity and your steadfastness.

Showing appreciation for the title, he said “am happy that our people decided to honor us, and we thank you for the time you have found to find us worthy of this title. And I promise you that we will keep on making you proud”, he said.
