
Following the recent alleged attack on the Awgu local Government PDP Chairman, Hon. Nathan Okeh Udeh on Saturday during monthly Meeting by thugs who were allegedly sent by the Awgu local government chairman Hon Pedro Nwankwo at the council headquarters Awgu.

Stating that whatever is the reason for the unwarranted physical assault on the person of the Awgu local government PDP Chairman, is yet to be brought to the knowledge of Awgu stakeholders which” I am one” he stated, let alone resolving it. “Up till this moment, non has been able to tell me what was the point of disagreement that degenerated to public assault and we all have carried on as if nothing happened. Is this how bad we have degenerated?
He condemned categorically in strongest terms the political hooliganisim, thuggery or any form of violence on their people.
Warning that for such to happen right in front of our people, right inside our mothers’ kitchen and the perpetrators were not apprehended, and no one is saying anything, speaks volumes of the precarious security situation we have just found ourselves. Moreso, it shows how bad the situation has become in the face of no known political struggle in view.
“What happened to the Awgu PDP Chairman is unwarranted, abhorrent and condemnable in all its ramifications. It should be condemned by all our well meaning stakeholders, and its future occurrence checked. Anyone importing violence should understand that, he who throws stone into the market place, may end up breaking his mother’s head. Today it is the party Chairman, tomorrow it could be any other person. everyone in life matters. Our youths must resist this temptation and toe the part of peace in resolving all grievances”
” It was Karl Max who said that “those who make peaceful resolutions impossible, make Violence solutions inevitable”. And I want to state clearly that Violence has never been solution to any problem, cannot be and will never be. The earlier we realize that the presence of one does not prohibit the emergence of another, the sooner we stop visiting ourselves with Violence” he stated.
He therefore urged people to desist from resorting to Violence as means of conflict resolution. “It is an ill-wind that blows no one good”
“I therefore, call on our people to always toe the part of peace as Violence will never be solution to any problem.” He finally said.
