Professor Rita Orji, an Enugu born computer scientist has been named one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women, a list put together by the Women’s Executive Network.

Professor Orji who took to her twitter handle made this announcement spoke on her on growing up in Enugu before teaching in the university.

Speaking on the recognition, Professor Orji, who teaches at the Faculty of Computer Science, Dalhousie University in Canada said, “From my small village in Owelli-court, Enugu State; from hawking, from praying for just an opportunity to get a first degree…to the global stage! Your dreams are valid! Akachukwu di ya!”, she said concluding.
