EndSars: Enugu board gets 147 petitions, submits last report August consummation

Mr. Onochie Ngwu, the Secretary to the Enugu State Police Brutality and Extra Judicial Killings board, says the board is working steadily to present its last report by August closure.

He unveiled this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu on Monday, saying, “by the beauty of God we will present the last report before August completion”.

As per him, the board got 147 petitions, 60 were dealt with, while 35 cases were moved to the regulatory board, since they didn’t fall inside its locale.

Ngwu said the leftover 52 petitions were deserted by the proprietors, as they wouldn’t show up before the board, regardless of a few updates.

The Secretary said the board had an expansion of time, attributable to the volume of the petitions inside four months.

“We were given a half year, yet because of the volume of the petitions before us, we applied for augmentation.
