Empowering Global Partnerships: Awgu Council Chairman Appoints Hon. Elozie Nwabuisi as Special Adviser on Diaspora & FDI, Advancing Governor Mbah’s Vision for Investment-Driven Growth

In a bold and strategic move aimed at strengthening international ties and attracting global capital, the Executive Chairman of Awgu Local Government Area, Hon. Uche Okolo, has appointed Hon. Elozie James Nwabuisi as the Special Adviser on Diaspora and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Matters.

This appointment is in line with the Chairman’s commitment to sustainable development and global engagement, as he follows in the visionary footsteps of Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah. The move complements the Governor’s ongoing efforts to attract foreign investors, grow the economy, and create employment opportunities for the people of Enugu State.

Hon. Nwabuisi, a respected leader with a strong international profile and deep ties to the Nigerian diaspora, is expected to play a central role in mobilizing global resources and positioning Awgu as a thriving hub for investment and innovation.

“This appointment is a testament to our administration’s unwavering focus on unlocking new frontiers for economic advancement,” said Hon. Okolo. “We are determined to connect Awgu to global opportunities and empower our people through strategic partnerships and investments.”

Expressing his gratitude, Hon. Nwabuisi said:
“I am honored to take on this responsibility and contribute to the transformative vision of our local government. Our diaspora is one of our greatest assets, and by working together, we can deliver real progress for our communities.”

As Special Adviser, Hon. Nwabuisi will focus on designing policies and platforms to engage the diaspora, attract sustainable investments, and stimulate job creation across sectors.

This appointment has been widely applauded as a forward-thinking decision that signals a new era of outward-looking leadership in Awgu.
