EKWEREMADU, OKECHUKWU MOURN WITH OGBUEFI CHIMEZIE AS THEY PAY tribute TO HIS FATHER

The Former Deputy President of the senate, and senator representing Enugu west senatorial District, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, and Deputy Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Hon. Toby Okechukwu, on Saturday the 16th of October were ably represented by Bar Eze O Eze due to their unavoidable absence, at Eziama Agunese Affam Mmaku of Agwu local government in Enugu state to pay their last respect to the late Chief Dominic Chimezie, as he was laid to rest in his hometown.

The late Chief Dominic Chimezie (Udeinye Chimeanukwu), who died on the 22nd of  April 2021 at the age of 75 was the father to the prominent enugu Born Lagos business man , Ogbuefi Chief Solomon Chimezie.

In a tribute to the family by Ekweremadu, he condoled the family stating that the Chief’s death is not just a loss to them, but to also the friends and well wishers of the family. He went further to encourage them to take solace in the fact that he led a sterling life worthy of emulation as he lived a life of selfless service to humanity.

“I send my deep condolences to you and the entire family. I share the grief over this monumental loss. May the good Lord grant his kind soul eternal repose. While wishing you more grace and fortitude, as you grapple with the challenges of this irreparable loss, please accept, my dear brother, the assurances of my highest regards”, the lawmaker said.

Hon. Okechukwu who also expressed his sadness over the loss of Ogbuefi’s father in a touching tribute commiserated with him and his entire household, said that, “death is a painful experience and even more devastating when a dear one is involved”.

“The death of Chief Dominic will understandably leave your family with a deep feeling of loss, but be consoled in the fact that he lived a worthy life and now rests with God. As we mourn his demise, it is my prayer that God grants your family the fortitude to bear the loss”, Okechukwu said.

Speaking with the wife of the late Chief during the funeral, she praised her husband as a good man worthy of emulation, adding that “since we got married we have never had any issue, and if I have another opportunity to come back to this world and remarry again, I would marry him again without thinking twice”.

Chief Solomon Chimezie (Okenwa ana amuru ora), who is the first son of Chief Dominic had nothing but good words to say about his father, stating that “my father was a good man and a disciplinarian to the core, whose life style and upbringing shaped who  my siblings and I are today. And although we are sad that he is no longer with us, we are happy he lived a life we could be proud of, and we are happy that he is with the Lord”, Chief Solomon said.
