ekweremadu, okechukwu mourn Prof. Samuel Nwangwu Ndubuisi as he is laid to rest

The former deputy senate president, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, and deputy minority leader of the house of representatives, Hon. Toby Okechukwu  on Friday, the 17th of September went to Mgbowo in Agwu local government of Enugu state to pay their final respect to the late Professor Samuel Ndubisi  Nwangwu  as he was laid to rest in his home town.

Professor Samuel Ndubisi  Nwangwu (FNSE, FNIEEE, FSESN, COREN, Chineyere Ugo 1 of ESUT, Omenka 1 of Opi-Amasiri, Okpu- Uzu 1 of Mgbowo) who was gruesomely murdered by some unknown gunmen in the evening of July 8, 2021, was the Director General of Scientific Equipment Development Institute, SEDI, Enugu.

Ekweremadu who was present at the event condoled with the family for their terrible loss, stating that it was a big blow to not just the family but to the entire state.

“He was a good and an intelligent man, one of the best brains in igbo land. This is a big loss to the family and Igbo land. We promise to bring his killers to face the arm of law, but till then I ask that you all should accept my condolence”, Ekweremadu said.

Hon. Okechukwu  who had earlier on during the period of the sad incident moved a motion for the house of reps to investigate murder of the professor with police force. He stated that, “Prof was killed in a very uncertain  circumstances, and it is the responsibility  of the house as a house of the people to interrogate  what actually  happened”.

In a condolence message from him to the family of the bereaved he called the professor a man of many sides while recalling their many years of friendship and his vision and passion for excellence.

“His transformational leadership as Director General of Scientific Equipment Development Institute (SEDI) and former Head of Department and Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Enugu State University of Science and Technology left indelible legacies.

“An intellectual par excellence, an exceptional administrator and promoter of peace, the late Prof. Ndubisi was a pillar of encouragement to those around him. He created several opportunities for our people to be gainfully employed. There is no doubt that his fatherly love and inspiration will be greatly missed by all”, Okechukwu stated.

Okechukwu concluded his message to the family saying “While we mourn this generational icon, we take solace in the fact that he lived a fulfilled life and left enduring legacies for us to emulate. We are supremely confident that he now rests in the bosom of the Lord. On behalf of my family and Constituents, please accept my condolences”.
