A former Deputy president of the Senate, Sen Ike Ekweremadu has extended his commiserations to the bereaved family of HRH Igwe Nwadilibe Paul Iloeje, Chinenyeze.
Igwe Chinenyeze up until his death was the traditional ruler of Uwani Amokwe in Udi local government area of Enugu state.
The Senator who was present in his burial, prayed that the good Lord grants him eternal rest in his bosom.
Ekweremadu wrote in his social media page, “We joined the good people of Uwani Amokwe in Udi LGA, Enugu State and the rest of our constituents to pay last respect to a cerebral scholar and great leader, the late HRH Igwe Nwadilibe Paul Iloeje, Chinenyeze, at his Last Ofala.
Among the numerous books Igwe authored, his two books, “A New Geography of Nigeria” published in 1965 and “A New Geography of West Africa” made him popular. He no doubt made his marks on the sands of time not only by his scholarly works, but also his life of philanthropy and service.
Your Highness, we’re proud of the life you led and the legacies you bequeathed.
Igweeeee! Go well and may the good Lord grant you eternal rest. Amen.”
