Godswill Akpabio has called on Nigerians to uphold values of compassion, forgiveness, and unity as Muslims in Nigeria and around the world celebrate Eid-el-Fitr.
In a goodwill message issued on Thursday by his media aide, Eseme Eyiboh, the Senate President congratulated Muslim faithful on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast. He encouraged them to continue practicing generosity, kindness, and love, especially towards the less privileged.
Akpabio noted that Eid-el-Fitr reflects deep spiritual values and urged citizens to carry forward the lessons learned during Ramadan into everyday life, promoting peace, understanding, and national unity.
He stressed that the significance of the fasting period should go beyond rituals, translating into actions that strengthen social harmony and cohesion across the country.
The Senate President also extended his best wishes on behalf of his family, constituents, the Senate, and the 10th National Assembly, offering prayers for peace, progress, and prosperity in Nigeria.
He further wished Bola Tinubu and all Muslim faithful a joyful and blessed Eid celebration.
