Mohammed Umar, The Head of Operations at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, assumes the office of theacting chairman of the agency, in the stead of Ibrahim Magu, who is currently in the police custody.

Umar, who is a Deputy Commissioner of Police, is the second most senior operative at the Commission.

UGAMATV gathered that there had been underground movements to install the Secretary, Ola Olukoyede, as the chairman pending the suspension of Ibrahim Magu.

However, given his civillian status, Olukoyede was not installed.
