Century Records, a musical record label which is a subsidiary of UGAMATV has dropped its debut album, Ranedrops on Friday, 26th of February 2021. UGAMATV REPORTS.

Century Records, in collaboration with her mother company, UGAMATV had recently in 2020 organized a talent hunt show, tagged “ENUGU GOT TALENT”, sponsored by the Deputy Minority leader, house of representatives, Rt. Hon. Toby Okechukwu.

The Show had birthed the emergence of several artists of rare and impressive talents.

Emerging as the first runner up in the show was, Ifenna Rex Onwuzulike, AKA, Rico who is set to drop his debutant EP, “Ranedrops.”

The Album titled, “Ranedrops” is a compilation of songs which translates the artists emotions and experiences.

Its tracks were produced by exceptional producers, Zuby and woody, M&M by Nami.

Rico, however, is currently under the management of Century Records label.

The Enugu-based artist, Rico, had entered the Enugu got talent show, with the full zeal to win, he had however, emerged the first runner up.

Recall, that the show was sponsored by the Deputy Minority leader, house of representatives, Rt. Hon. Toby Okechukwu, in a bid to give a voice to the youths through music.

The Show, was aimed at providing a platform for the Upcoming artist, both Enugu based and otherwise, to express their thoughts as well as eplore their talents.

The talent hunt show had started with auditions, which was organized by UGAMATV, in collaboration with Century records.

Twenty-six raw and untapped talents were selected from the Myraid of artists that trooped into the Venue of the auditions, Toscana hotels Enugu.

Legendary artists and producers like, Mr. Raw, Paulino, J-money Music, as well as Don-colnel had served in the capacity of Judges, adequately scrutinizing the contestants by their Lyrics, presentation, performance and strict adherence to the Organizer’s rules.

They immediately after the auditions began, Mentoring, rebranding and Grooming session with seasoned artists from all over the country, in preparation for the final battle.

The Grand Finale had followed suit on the 31st of December, 2020 at Awgu Civic center, Ugbonabo Enugu state, where Rico and his equally talented counterparts battled for the Winning Price, However, after a tough war, he emerged the first runner-up.

The Winner, First runner-up, Second Runner-up took home, whooping prices of #10million, #7million and #5million respectively, this includes, Promotion and mentoring packages.

The grand Finale experienced the glorious presence of the Executive Governor of Enugu state, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, a former deputy president of the Senate, Sen. Ike Ekweremadu, the Deputy Minority leader, House of representatives, Rt. Hon. Toby Okechukwu, as well as other highly esteemed dignitaries.

Subsequently, the winners had a Têtê á Têtê with the sole Sponsor of the Show, Toby Okechukwu, where he confirmed his satisfaction with their performance and growth rate, giving them his word to utilize his good capacity to attract every bit of resources required for the unmitigated growth and bloom in the Music industry.

Rico’s progress however, is a proof of the fruitfulness of the show.
