Don’t feign sickness for relocation purposes, NYSC warns corps members

The Gombe State chapter of the National Youth Service Corps has warned corps members against feigning sickness in order to be relocated to another state of their choice.

The Camp Director, Ndako Bida, gave this warning to corps members as he lectured them about relocation from one camp to another.

This was contained in a statement by the Gombe NYSC chapter on Thursday, where Bida also encouraged the corps members to be active in camp activities.

“Relocation will be granted as long as you have papers; medical report or marriage certificate as the case may be, attached to your application. There is no need to invite sickness you do not have upon yourself for the sake of relocation,” the statement quoted Bida as saying.

Encouraging all camp participants to attend every camp activity, Bida stated that such activities were included for a good cause; to entertain, enlighten and educate them.

Speaking to his fellow members, the Corps Camp Director, Oyeniyi Emmanuel, emphasised on the code of conduct of corps members during the Orientation Course, adding that the rules and regulations of the Orientation Course must be adhered to, at all times.

Ndako also decorated the Corps Camp Directors with identification tags.
