Diri will complete projects started by his administration –Commissioner

BAYELSA State Commissioner for Information, Orientation and Strategy, Ayibaina Duba has said projects initiated by the Governor Douye Diri-led administration, will not be abandoned.

Duba gave the assurance during the income and expenditure briefing for May and June 2021 at the Treasury Building, Yenagoa, on Wednesday.

He assured the people of the state that their commonwealth is in safe hands, adding that the government would not take their goodwill for granted.

Duba said, “As a government, we are happy to continue doing what we are doing by being transparent enough so that Bayelsans will know that their commonwealth is in safe hands.

“We are not misusing the trust and as a government, we are out to make sure that whatever that is desirable and good for the people of Bayelsa state, gets to them.

The governor’s Technical Adviser on Treasury, Accounts and Revenue, Timipre Seipulou, said that Bayelsa received a total of N8.7bn for May while that of June stood at N11.8bn.
