Davido’s Wife Chioma Threatens Legal Action Against Sophia Momodu Supporters Over Alleged Cyberbullying

Chioma Adeleke, the wife of popular Afrobeat singer, Davido, has threatened legal action against members of Sophia Momodu lovers’ group.

She made the legal threat on Tuesday after chats from Sophia lovers, and TSM Lovers Whatsapp groups surfaced on social media.

Sharing screenshots from the group chats, Chioma’s manager, Ubi Franklin in a series of posts on X, tagged the development as a coordinated online attack targeting Chioma and Davido’s marriage.

While claiming that multiple groups are organised just to bully and harass Chioma, Ubi threatened every member of the group that “one after the other, you will explain to the law enforcement what Chef chi has done to all of you, just keep opening groups to bully her, Her Husband, Me as her manager and the entire family has your time now and we will follow the rules and you will be served.

“In Nigeria, cyberbullying and cyber harassment are not treated lightly—they are criminal offences under several laws, especially the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, 2015.”
