Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has reacted to the public apology issued by his official streamer, Davrel, following a controversy at the burial ceremony of Israel DMW’s late father in Edo State.
Davrel came under criticism after a video from the event showed him sitting on a chair reportedly reserved for Davido, with one of his legs placed on the seat while the singer remained standing. He later vacated the chair after being approached.
The incident sparked backlash from members of Davido’s fanbase, known as the 30 Billion Gang (30BG), who accused the streamer of showing disrespect to the award-winning singer.
Responding to the criticism, Davrel released a public apology, expressing regret over the incident.
Reacting in the comments section, Davido accepted the apology and advised Davrel to be more mindful of his actions.
“Good job son. Move better n be smarter, the world is watching u now. Love u,” the singer wrote.
