My Father, My Father!! Where are thou?

I am yet to come to terms with your untimely departure.

I grief daily. Thoughts of you bring tears to my eyes.

Every night I call for you. In my dreams, I frantically search for you. When I do see you, I try to drag you back to the land of the living. You resist, and I wake up in clammy sweat and floods of tears.

I am still traumatised and broken.

I am fighting for life – the way I used to know it. Nothing is the same because the light of my life is six feet beneath – with him my joy and happiness. I have accepted I will never heal.

I have learnt to live with the pain since you suffered more anguish in the hands of those you trusted the most.Ezigbo Nnam, Anyi ka na agbani ooo!!Chukwukadibia and I are breathlessly working towards the law library of your dreams, and the Foundation and annual law lecture instituted in your honour after your demise is gradually attaining its purpose.

All legal texts you authored are now available and indexed in leading law libraries around the world and your unpublished manuscripts has seen the light of day. Ifugonú, I have kept all the solemn promises I made to you on your dying bed and your name is more relevant than ever. Now, ‘Prof Prof’ beckons to you to hold up your end – fulfil your profound prophetic declarations.
