Controversy over arrest of bank boss, Okonkwo

There was controversy on Monday over the purported arrest of the Managing Director of First Bank Holdings, Mr. Nnamdi Okonkwo.

While sources within the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission informed journalists that Okonkwo was detained, the bank chief denied the information leaked to the media by the EFCC authorities.

Okonkwo, who had a video chat with our correspondent on Monday said, “As you can see, I am inside my car. I am not in detention.
