Children’s Day Celebration: Hon. Uche Okolo Urges Awgu Youth to Dream Big and Work Towards Their Goals

In a heartfelt message delivered on the occasion of Children’s Day, Hon. Uche Okolo, the Executive Chairman of Awgu Local Government, extended warm greetings to the children of Awgu and beyond, emphasizing their vital role as the leaders of tomorrow.

“Today is not just a celebration of your youth and innocence, but a profound reminder of the immense potential you hold as the architects of our future,” Hon. Okolo stated. He recognized the children as the heartbeat of the community, embodying hope, dreams, and aspirations. He called upon leaders and caregivers to nurture their growth and guide them on the path of righteousness, encouraging them to embrace values of good character and integrity.

Highlighting the commitment of the Awgu Local Government to education, Hon. Okolo pointed to the transformative initiatives led by Governor Peter Mbah, including the establishment of Smart Green Schools across all 362 political wards of Enugu State. “These schools are designed not just to provide knowledge but to empower you with the skills and confidence needed to thrive in an ever-changing world,” he affirmed.

In a bid to enhance accessibility to educational opportunities, the local government has initiated the development of access roads leading to all Awgu Smart Green Schools. Additionally, the establishment of the Awgu Smart Farm aims to empower the youth by providing employment opportunities and ensuring food security for families in the region.

Hon. Okolo urged the children to take their education seriously, focus on personal development, and dream big. “The future is bright, and it belongs to those who are willing to work hard and stay committed to their goals,” he said. He encouraged the youth to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, reminding them that every step they take today brings them closer to their dreams.

As the community celebrates Children’s Day, Hon. Okolo reaffirmed the local government’s commitment to the well-being and success of the youth. “Together, we will build a brighter future for Awgu and beyond. You are not just our future; you are our present and our pride,” he concluded.

This message serves as a call to action for the youth of Awgu, inspiring them to recognize their potential and the support available to them as they navigate their educational journeys.
