Catholic Knight who abandoned Christianity over Ifeanyi Ubah snub joins traditionalists as he’s made Senior Bishop of Omenala in traditional ceremony (video)

Sir James Louis, popularly known as Ebube Anaedo, is now one of the proponents of omenala (traditional worship) after he left the Catholic church.

Sir James was a Catholic Knight but he publicly renounced his Catholic faith and Christianity on January 14, 2026, during the dedication of the Our Lady of Assumption Cathedral in Nnewi, Anambra State (read here).

At the time, a viral video showed him leaving the Cathedral while screaming “Akacham” (I’m done with church). He stated then that he was upset that Ifeanyi Ubah, the late businessman and senator, was not honored at the dedication of the cathedral, despite being the person who carried the church construction on his back. Sir James questioned why the church would honour foreign men and women who had di£d as saints, while forgetting the late Ifeanyi Ubah who made the cathedral a reality.

As he ranted, he removed his knight’s hat and stated that he was done with religion.

His new nickname since then became “Akacham”.

Now, in a new video shared by vocal Igbo traditionalist Mathias Ezeaku, Sir James is seen being ordained as a Senior Bishop in the Omenala Bu Eziokwi Na Ndu movement (Tradition is the truth in life movement).

Speaking at the ceremony, Akacham stated that he served in various capacities in the Catholic church, including in Block Rosary, the Choir, and as a Knight, but he has now seen the light in being a traditionalist.

The video below shows him at the traditional ceremony.
