Canadian national found dead in Lagos hotel room

A 79-year-old Canadian national, Mr. Dwight Sullivan, has been found dead in his hotel room in Victoria Island, Lagos State.

 

 

 

 

The incident occurred at Sun Heaven Hotels located in.Victoria Island in the early hours of October 7, 2025.

 

 

 

 

According to security analyst, Zagazola Makama, the Chief Security Officer of the hotel, Mr. Sunday Isadeha, reported the incident to the police at about 4:30 p.m. after the foreign guest was discovered lifeless on the floor of his room (Room 114), where he had lodged since October 2.

 

 

 

A team of detectives from the Victoria Island Division visited and photographed the scene.

 

 

 

According to the police, no marks of violence were observed on the deceased’s body.

 

 

 

The body was thereafter evacuated to the Lagos Island General Hospital, Marina, where a medical officer confirmed him dead.

 

 

 

His remains were deposited at the hospital’s morgue for preservation and autopsy.

 

 

 

Sources said preliminary findings suggest no foul play, but investigation is ongoing to determine the exact cause of d3ath.
