Buhari Destroying Nigeria For Our Children, Grandchildren – Aisha Yesufu says, asks National Assembly To Impeach President

Human rights’ activist and co-convener of #BringBackOurGirls, Aisha Yesufu, has criticised the Northern region for keeping quiet over the numerous atrocities ongoing under the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

She also called on the Nigerian people to come out and protest against the government, adding that the National Assembly was wrong not to have impeached the President.

Yesufu said these in a video seen by UGAMATV on Wednesday in her reaction to the abduction that recently occurred on the Abuja-Kaduna highway.
An unspecified number of travellers lost their lives, while others were abducted by suspected gunmen on Sunday and Monday.

In her reaction, Yesufu told the federal lawmakers, “National Assembly, why have you not removed Muhammadu Buhari? Which part of the law have you not read to remove President Muhammadu Buhari?”

She said further, “Fellow Nigerians, what is wrong with us? Why is Muhammadu Buhari still the President of Nigeria? Are we going to wait till we are all dead before we do something? Dead people cannot talk, dead people cannot talk anything. This is the time to do something. You are sitting down and saying you are afraid. You are afraid to die when they are killing you every day.

“He’s destroying the country for us. He’s destroying the country for our children. He’s destroying the country for our grandchildren. He’s destroying the country for our descendants and we are sitting down at home doing nothing. You’ll be forming you’re a man, you’re a woman. You are only sitting down in your room and be talking, that you don’t have to die. Guess what, the death they are killing you is here.”

The activist said the Northern region was hypocritical in discussing the affairs of this nation because a Northerner was the country’s leader.
Yesufu berated the President for travelling all around the world while Nigerian citizens get killed every day, describing him as “heartless, cold and soulless.”

“See another attack, Abuja-Kaduna expressway, people have been killed and people have been carried away. Silence everywhere. Northern people, where are you? Where are you? Life does not longer matter, right? Where is secure North? If it is time to do hashtag against #EndSARS and any other person’s protest, you will come and remember that the North is not secure.

“But when people are being killed, you will not know that the North is not secure. All of a sudden, it is no longer the North is not secure because a Northern person is in office. Aso Rock is occupied by a Northern everything is okay. This your hypocrisy. What is Buhari still doing in office? Buhari should be chased out of Villa. They will use the broom he used to enter to chase him out.

“Those people that were killed on Abuja-Kaduna also thought it was none of their business. Guess what, yesterday’s victims were once survivors, today’s victims were yesterday’s survivors, tomorrow’s victims, they will be today’s survivors. Even me since 2014, I don’t have an attachment to life, anything that will happen let it happen. But I will use my mouth to talk,” Yesufu said.
