Nigerian singer Brymo has alleged that fellow musician 2Baba once asked his then-wife, Annie Macaulay, if she had ever been intimate with him.
The singer made the claim while admitting that he had previously had relationships with some married women. Speaking on the Notjustok podcast, Brymo advised younger artistes to avoid having affairs with married women, warning that such relationships could have dangerous consequences.
Recalling an incident he said occurred in 2019 at Naomi’s office in Lekki Phase 1, Brymo claimed that 2Baba looked him in the eye and asked Annie, “Annie, you don f**k Brymo?”
“I’ll never forget it. I’m wicked, you people don’t know me. I met quite a number of older women who were truly married, but they would tell me they were separated from their husbands. This goes to younger artistes: stop sleeping with people’s wives. They will cut your life short,” he said.
As of the time of this report, neither Annie Macaulay nor 2Baba has publicly responded to Brymo’s allegations.
Brymo had previously revealed in a 2023 interview that he once asked singer Simi and Ghanaian artiste Efya, among other female colleagues, for sex in exchange for musical collaborations.
