BREAKING: Gunmen kill TWO soldiers in Enugu

Some unknown gunmen have killed two soldiers of the Nigerian Army in Enugu State.

The troops were killed on Tuesday at Adani community of Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of the state as they tried to repel Eastern Security Network (ESN) gun attack, Director, Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu confirmed this in a statement.

Part of the statement read: ” Sadly, during the fire fight that ensued, two soldiers paid the supreme price.

“The troops are currently on the trail of the criminals. ”

Nwachukwu urged the public to provide useful information on the fleeing gunmen to the force.

“We assure the general public of our commitment to provide adequate security in the general area in collaboration with other security agencies.

“We also urge members of the public to complement the effort of the security agencies by remaining law abiding and provide useful information on the fleeing gunmen,” the statement added.
