BREAKING: ENUGU REP OKECHUKWU TODAY KICKS OFF ANNUAL INTERVENTION FREE MEDICAL OUTREACH

The free medical outreach program which is carried out every year by the Deputy Minority Leader, Hon. Toby Okechukwu in his consituency started today, the 2nd of November 2021 and is yet again a live changing moment in the lives of a lot of GreaterAwgu people and beyond.

The program which is a yearly program people look forward for the solution of their numerous health challenges to is taking place this year at the UNTH outpost, Ugbo

In the words of Hon. Toby Okechukwu, who was interviewed by UGAMATV prior to the event, he said that, “a healthy community is a wealthy community, so the medical outreach is an effort to compliment the efforts of the state government and the institutions around Our Place.

“We are trying to see if we can liase with UNTH to see how we can do extension services in some of our communities in order to have doctors, nurses, from UNTH intervene in some of these health centres to the point of having some places designated as health post of UNTH in which they can use their personal strength to help the rural communities, that’s what we are trying to do”, Okechukwu said.

The previous medical outreach witnessed the treating of numerous people of their various illnesses. Major operations were carried out in the past for those who could not afford the treatment at various hospitals. This is indeed the key to this intervention powered by Rt. Hon Toby Okechukwu.

However, UGAMATV have learned that this year’s event holding under the strict protocol by NCDC. Adequate hand washing points was strategically mounted at the venue, medical face mask were given out to those that came for various medical consultations and treatment free.

This year’s event is already looking up as over 500 people came for the exercise on this first day for the program which has been stipulated to run till the 6th of November

The team ,Doctors on the move came highly prepared. In a well organized manner those that came seated calmly and took their turns to follow a very simple process to see Doctors and collect drugs as required.
