Bauchi Govt appoints Head of Service, 22 Permanent Secretaries

Bauchi State governor, Bala Mohammed, has appointed Alhaji Yahuza Haruna, as the New Head of Civil Service for the State.

This was contained in a statement signed and made available to journalists in Bauchi on Thursday by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the governor, Mukhtar Gidado.

He said that the appointment of the new Head of Service followed the retirement of the previous Head of Civil Service, Alh Aliyu Jibo.

“Prior to Alhaji Jibo’s retirement, His Excellency, the Governor had approved Haruna’s confirmation as the substantive Head of Civil Service with effect from 1st April 2021,” Gidado said.

Gidado further stated that the Governor thankes Jibo for his invaluable contribution to the development of the Civil Service in Bauchi State and wish him the very best in his future endeavour.

“The newly appointed Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Yahuza Adamu hails from Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State. He attended Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he graduated with a BSc degree in Economics.  

“He also holds an MSc degree in Agric-Economics from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi and a Masters degree in Public Policy and Administration from the Bayero University, Kano. He is currently pursuing a doctorate programme in Economics at the Bauchi State University, Gadau,” he said.

Gidado added that until his appointment, Adamu was the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, Bauchi State.

Similarly, the Media Aide said that Governor Mohammed has approved the appointment of 22 new Permanent Secretaries in the State’s Civil Service.

The appointment of the new Head of Civil Service and the (22) Permanent Secretaries takes immediate effect.

He said that the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries, drawn across the 20 LGAs of the state, include: Jibrin Yusuf – Alkaleri, Danjuma Garba – Bauchi, Babaji Suleiman – Bauchi, Saratu Jibrin – Bogoro, Shehu Jalam – Dambam, Hannatu Iliya – Dass, Isa Tahir – Gamawa, Asma’u Sunusi – Ganjuwa and Idris Giade – Giade.

Others are: Bala Manu – Itas Gadau, Samaila Ahmed – Jama’are, Ibrahim Gambaki – Katagum – Sule Madara – Katagum, Aliyu Hardawa – Misau, Abubakar Misau – Misau, Saleh Ningi – Ningi, Engr Aminu Gital – Tafawa Balewa, Yakubu Abdullahi – Tafawa Balewa, Nathaniel Mu’azu – Warji, Mamman Sale Mumuni – Zaki, Muhammadu Zakariya’u –
