Barcelona squad delighted with return to training.
Worked in compliance with safety protocols
Friday saw Barcelona’s senior players return to the club’s training facility to work after all being passed negative for COVID-19 in tests conducted on Wednesday, and the players are said to be delighted to finally start working again.
Coach Quique Setien and his personnel were also tested on Wednesday, with the entire Blaugrana staff being given a clean bill of health.
“We’re finally returning to normality, we hope to move forward and that soon we can once again enjoy what we like most,” Arturo Vidal explained.
The Chilean midfielder hasn’t been the only senior star to express his enthusiasm for training beginning again, with Arthur Melo taking to social media.
“Back to the pitch with a lot desire to work, thanks to the staff that make this possible,” Arthur added.
Luis Suarez was expected to miss the remainder of the 2019/20 season through injury, yet the Uruguayan forward may now return in time for Barcelona’s title run-in as a result.
“How nice it is to come back,” Suarez posted.
