The Senior Political Assistant to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, Demola Olarenwaju, has described his principal as the most investigated politician in Nigeria since 1999.

Olarenwaju made the remark while reacting to a post on X that claimed if there were any evidence of wrongdoing against Atiku, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) would have prosecuted him.

The X user argued that Atiku’s record allows him to hold those in power accountable without fear.

Responding, Olarenwaju maintained that Atiku had been subjected to extensive investigations over the years but had never been successfully prosecuted.

“Atiku is the most investigated politician in Nigeria since 1999,” he wrote.

He further claimed that every president since 1999 had been challenged by Atiku through constitutional and electoral processes, yet none had taken him to court over any alleged wrongdoing.

“Every single President since 1999, Atiku has challenged them electorally and constitutionally, and not a single one has brought a court case against him. He’s the one that usually sues them, in fact, and wins,” Olarenwaju added.
