ARMED BANDITRY: BANDITS ATTACK KARARE, KATSINA STATE. VIL

Disaster strucks as bandits attacks Karare village in Batsari Local Government Area of Katsina State, where they abducted the daughter of the village head, Ciroma Ahmadu Karare.

Kidnapped Alongside the 20-year-old daughter of the village head, was another 23-year-old woman whose baby was strapped to her back

According to reports, The heavly armed bandits were twenty in number and performed their raid in motorcycles. Before attacking the house of the village head and subsequently abducting his daughter, they had already raided several other houses in the village.

Mustapha Ruma, an eye witness and village resident, said the bandits also forcefully took the mobile phone of the village head and gave him a new SIM card,instructing him to call them for negotiations.

Apart from the human hostages, they also made away with animals and food from villagers.

When contacted, the Spokesman for the Katsina Police Command, SP Gambo Isah, said on the telephone, “I am working on it”.

However, the SP and the Special Adviser on security to Governor Aminu Masari, Mr Ibrahim Katsina, were yet to respond to the phone calls and SMS sent to them concerning the incident, as at press time.
