It was an expository moment, in Enugu East local government area this week as youths in the area were all overwhelmed in partaking in the Enugu SME training programmes.
The special adviser to the Enugu state governor on Small and Medium Enterprises Development and investment promotion, Hon. Chilo-Offiah, has charged the youths to embrace opportunities Enugu SME is offering to achieve financial growth and freedom.
Mr Offiah who’s also the Head of Enugu SME Centre, gave the advice on Tuesday, when the team from the Centre berthed at the council area for the kick-off of the local government sensitisation programme.

Offiah challenged the youths to take advantage of the numerous programmes by the Enugu State Small and Medium Enterprises, SME to change their economic fortune for good.

The Governor’s Aide lamented that its unfortunate that the youths aren’t harnessing the abundant opportunities made available by the cautious effort of the Governor; Rt. Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi to develop the youths of Enugu State.
“Enugu SME Centre is poised to assisting the youths that are interested and determined to succeed.

“We have made solid arrangements and have partnered with leading organisations and establishments like: Engie Fenix Wild Fusion, AutoEase, Jobberman, Capitis, Utivaamong others to ensure you get the best from the leaders in the various industries.
“These organizations also provide job opportunities because they retain most of the trainees that successfully complete their trainings, thus, all you need is keen interest and determination to create your own success story,” he said.
He enjoined the youths in Enugu East to explore the opportunity provided by the centre to create jobs for themselves rather than wait on the government, because the government can’t employ everyone.

In his remark, the visibly elated chairman of Enugu East LGA, Hon. Alex Ugwu, admonished the youths not to let this opportunity elude them as the programmes are designed to help them become financially independent.
He also thanked the governor of the state, Rt. Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his various contributions towards the development of youths in the state, adding that when youths become independent, crime rate will be reduced.
He also thanked the Centre and her leader, Arinze Chilo Offiah for bringing this good news and opportunity to their doorstep.
